What animal do you irrationally respect?Have you ever seen the scars on a white shark? Well Harbor Seals are the main culprit. If you have ever seen them outrun a shark you would irrationally respect them. They are muscular, compact and playful speedy swimmers. I would hang out with a Harbor Seal anyday.
What’s your unpopular opinion about technology? It is inevitable. It's an irrevocable genie we have let out of the bottle. It's time we contribute to focusing it in a productive and positive direction.
What’s one thing POSTPALS will never compromise on—even if it costs us speed or scale? So many things, but our relationships and contributions to our partners and their research drives the power of storytelling for our Explorers. It is at the heart of what we do.
What animal do you irrationally respect? I respect and love Otters. They appear to embrace life by having fun a lot of the time, they don't seem to be impacted by the cold of winter, nor the heat of summer, and it looks like they are never short on food, friends, and distractions.
What’s one thing POSTPALS will never compromise on—even if it costs us speed or scale? We'll never compromise the learning, the fun, nor the science of the Adventure experience we strive to deliver to young Explorers and their Parents.
If you had to teach one lesson to every child on Earth, what would it be—and why? My lesson is based on experience... there will always be someone faster, and always someone slower than you... Don't get caught up with worrying about who came in first, rather, focus on what you are doing, how you can do it better, with an eye on your successfully crossing the goal line. That's what really matters.
If POSTPALS dropped you into a field expedition tomorrow, where are you going? Deep jungle. There are so many animals to discover in there!
What animal do you irrationally respect? OCTOPUS! They’re so smart and have so much personality.
What still gives you the same sense of awe it did when you were a kid? Playing with tide pools during low tide at the beach - I love watching all of the sea critters and these little worlds that exist around us.
If POSTPALS dropped you into a field expedition tomorrow, where are you going? It would have to be space!
What animal do you irrationally respect? Tortoises! Since I’m from the Galapagos.
Pancakes or Waffles? I have loved waffles ever since I got my own waffle maker; the crispiness with the soft inside is something pancakes can’t beat.
