It all begins with the Explorer Kit and a giant shark-tracking map. Then, every month, your Explorer receives a postcard from the shark they're tracking, launching a new learning Quest.

The OCEARCH Adventure is a year-long subscription from POSTPALS that turns learning into an unforgettable ocean adventure. Through 12 monthly Quests, your Explorer (your child) follows real sharks, receives exciting mail, and discovers topics like anatomy, migration, habitat, and conservation through hands-on activities designed for ages 5–9.
OCEARCH is the nonprofit scientific partner behind every Quest. As a 501(c)(3) organization, OCEARCH is dedicated to advancing shark research and ocean conservation through real-world science. The adventures are inspired by actual OCEARCH research, real sharks, and live tracking data. A portion of every subscription supports OCEARCH's mission, so every Explorer helps protect the oceans they learn about.
Explorer Kits ship Monthly, and include everything needed to begin Quest 1. Inside, you'll find your Explorer's first materials to kick off a year of shark-filled adventures.
Never. They're designed for ages 5–10, challenging and fun, but nothing scary, and you're there to help whenever it's needed.
Each month, your Explorer receives a postcard introducing their new shark Pal and the starting of their Quest.
Not entirely, and that’s by design. The OCEARCH Adventure puts real mail, hands-on activities, and meaningful learning first. Digital experiences support each Quest and allow parents to track their Explorer’s progress, achievements, and learning journey.
Absolutely. Quests are designed specifically for ages 5–9 and are engaging, educational, and fun, never scary. As the Navigator, you're there to help whenever it's needed.
Yes. The OCEARCH Adventure is ad-free, COPPA-aligned, and parent-managed. It uses pre-written, reviewed content with no open chat features. As the Navigator, you'll also receive email updates about your Explorer's progress throughout the year.
Yes! Each additional Explorer receives 15% off and gets their own Explorer Kit and monthly mail. If you're giving The OCEARCH Adventure as a gift, we'll first verify the recipient's parent or legal guardian's permission before any mailings or Quests begin.
Choose $19.50/month or $214.50/year (that's one month free) per Explorer. You can pay monthly or annually, and you can cancel anytime from your account.
If you cancel a monthly subscription, you won't be billed again, and your Explorer will continue through the end of the current billing period. If you cancel an annual subscription, it won't renew at the end of the year. Annual subscriptions are non-refundable, but your Explorer will continue to receive every Quest through the end of the paid subscription period.
Unless you turn off auto-renewal, your subscription will automatically renew with a brand-new shark curriculum for the next year.
